| Selling your home in Bellingham or another
area of Whatcom County?
Getting your home ready for sale will take some effort,
but the payoff is valuable! I have years of experience helping
people sell their homes. Let my experience benefit you!
Here are some basic guidelines for getting ready to sell
your house:
1. Curb appeal! Invest some time getting your property
spruced up. Many buyers will make a decision about a house
within just seconds of viewing the outside. Encourage buyers
to want to come inside to see your home.
Mow the lawn, clean up any exterior clutter, and remove
any stored items that detract from the beauty of your home.
If the house needs paint, it's well worth the time and investment
to do it now.
2. Carry the curb appeal idea to the interior of your home.
Is it inviting upon entering? Is the home well lit and clean?
These are things buyers are going to want to see. Make your
home seem as inviting and liveable as possible. Let your
potential buyer see themselves living in 'their' new house.
3. Ask for an objective opinion about the property when
you are done sprucing up. Are there any eyesores you missed?
It's better to find out now rather than lose a potential
buyer later!
